Esio Trot

Esio Trot is a children’s novel by Roald Dahl. It tells the story of an elderly bachelor named Mr. Hoppy and his love for his neighbor, Mrs. Silver. Mr. Hoppy devises a plan to make Mrs. Silver happy by using a magical spell to make her pet tortoise, Alfie, grow bigger. With the help of his friend, the wizard, Mr. Hoppy is able to make his plan a reality. The novel is filled with humor and heartwarming moments as Mr. Hoppy and Mrs. Silver’s relationship grows.
