Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a 1964 children’s novel by British author Roald Dahl. The story follows Charlie Bucket, a poor boy who receives a golden ticket to visit the mysterious and magical chocolate factory of the eccentric chocolatier Willy Wonka. Along with four other children, Charlie embarks on a journey through Wonka’s factory, encountering a variety of creatures and experiencing adventures. The book has been adapted into two major motion pictures: Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory in 1971, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2005.
