Artemis Fowl and the Arctic Incident is the second book in the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. It follows the adventures of the young criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl II as he attempts to rescue his father from the Russian mafia. Along the way, he must battle the fairy police force, the Lower Elements Police Reconnaissance (LEPRecon) and their leader, Commander Root. With the help of his loyal bodyguard Butler, and the fairy Captain Holly Short, Artemis must use his wits and cunning to outsmart his enemies and save his father.
